Three potters' workshops and an exhibition space for ancient pottery retrace the age-old tradition of the village. Today, contemporary creations, as much utilitarian as decorative, take up the tradition and come to rub shoulders with the oldest pieces at the oulerie. The oule is an earthenware container that had three uses: the preservation of candied food, the hunting of pigeons and the protection of roofs with the finial. On the4th Sunday of August, a big pottery fair is organized in Uzech.

COUTEAUX CHASSINT

In his workshop in Figeac, Fabrice Chassint makes high-flying knives. Fascinated by the object and passionate about aviation, the craftsman combines his two violins of Ingres in his creations. His Figeac is a pocket knife that reproduces a Breguet propeller: a wooden blade formerly manufactured by the Ratier company. The handle is hand-fitted and adjusted and is made of different materials. The Figeac is also recognizable by its notched wheel, which gives it the appearance of a propeller, and which allows the knife to be unfolded and closed with one hand.
