"French, local and family production" is the motto of the Mijoteurs, Sacha and Basile. In 2020, they set up this new project with the idea of "making accessible to everyone dishes that normally take a long time to prepare at home". The result: good simmered dishes - rabbit legolette with mustard, pork sauté, coq au vin, beef sauté from Aubrac and many other recipes put in pretty jars. They favour short circuits and authenticity. In addition to this range of cooked dishes, they also make pâtés, foie gras, rillettes...

Arnold Marcillac uses 4 ancestral methods to preserve mushrooms: air or sun drying with 15 varieties to be discovered in powder and broken pieces; confit with notably cep confit with Armagnac; mushrooms cooked in olive oil to be enjoyed cold or hot, from the aperitif to the cheese; and finally roasted with salt. On the fresh mushroom side, we are not disappointed with truffles, which can be enjoyed free of charge every day when the black diamond season starts. Originality and flavour guaranteed.

In 1996, the very special Lotois "pure goat" cheese joined the "club" of AOCs (Appellations d'Origine Contrôlée), and then became an AOP (protected designation of origin). The small palets made exclusively from whole raw milk are in fact one of the gastronomic prides of the Lot. Melting texture. 16,000 goats reared. 30 million rocamadours produced per year. The appellation area is based in the Lot, but includes a few neighbouring areas in the Dordogne and Aveyron, in particular.

Located in the Regional Natural Park of the Causses du Quercy, the Ferme-Auberge d'Esparnol is home to a Gascony black pig farm. Florence is the first woman brewer of the Lot and with her Matou beers, she has made her place in the Lot brewing world. Each brew is unique, resulting from a rigorous choice of ingredients. She currently offers three lager beers, one fermented with a fruity yeast, one fermented with champagne yeast and another brewed with local wild hops. It also makes a white beer fermented with lemon yeast, a red beer fermented with Bordeaux yeast and an amber beer with spicy abbey yeast.

In the Ilbert family, there is the great-grandfather, the founder, then the grandfather, the father (who we still meet in the vineyards) and Julien, the son and his wife Sophie. Both have taken up the torch of a terroir that they defend and promote. With 23 hectares on the limestone plateaus, Combel-la-Serre is today 5 wines in AOP Cahors and 3 in IGP Côtes du Lot (a red, a rosé and a white wine). The domain has the organic label.

Marion and Cyril run an extraordinary chocolate factory in this small street in Cadurcia. The cocoa bean is a precious stone that finds its jewel case here. Cyril, artisan-chocolatier, works the chocolate as a goldsmith works the gold. The materials are noble and chosen with great care. In the back store, two workshops keep the production alive, the first one for the chocolate, the second one for the cookie making: indeed, a nice choice of madeleines and financiers is also proposed. 221st V and B of France and one of the few located in the city centre. Alexandre runs a shop in front of the city's cinema. The winegrowers of Cahors are men and women who carry high the values of the South-West and work on 21,700 hectares of limestone spread over 45 communes in the Lot, between the Causses and the Lot valley. The AOC Cahors was created in 1971 and is reserved exclusively for red wines made from 70% Malbec, although two other grape varieties, Tannat and Merlot, are authorized. Olivier and Liesbeth, of Belgian origin, are the kings of artisanal ice cream made from organic cow's and goat's milk. The choice is dizzying with about forty flavors and the panel of colors lends itself to all delicacies. Using an old manufacturing technique, without coloring, with fresh fruit for the sorbets, these friendly ice cream makers milk their goats on the spot and allow you to visit their farm! Not far from Gourdon, Les Claies de Maillol is a small estate that produces Vin de Grenier. This wine is made from grapes that have been passerillé off the vine. For the white wine, the grape variety used is the "fleur de mai" (May flower) which is aged in acacia barrels. It has a nice amplitude in the mouth and a nose of white flowers marked by acacia honey. For the red wine, the grape varieties used are Abouriou and Jurançon noir, and the grapes are vinified in a cauldron which gives a powerful robe with aromas of blackcurrant, morello cherry and prune.

In 2018, two wine-loving friends Laurent Marre and Francois Sudreau joined forces to create the Le Vent des Jours estate on the high plateaus of the Cahors appellation. Their wine, worked in biodynamics, fully reflects the freshness and finesse of the Jurassic limestone soils that make up their estate. Lavender, olive trees and beehives are also found there, a harmony that offers the vine a naturally rich environment for a quality grape.

Welcome to a unique farm born from Marie and Hervé's passion for nature, plants and a certain return to the simplicity of the land. In this extraordinary garden, the flowers are edible (and delicious), they are eaten fresh of course but also dried in herbal tea where they are sometimes associated with herbs grown on site and plants from the wild. A saffron farm and a market garden complete the offer.

Château Famaey is a 40-hectare estate, traditionally cultivated with respect for nature, using as few additives as possible. The Belgian owners, Luc and his son Maarten, cultivate parcels used to produce IGP Côtes du Lot and AOP Cahors wines. The best plots in the vineyard are harvested by hand, making the grape harvest a traditional annual celebration. Gîtes with swimming pool are run by Maarten and his wife Chrystelle, in the middle of the vineyards.

Château Cantelauze-Mezy is a vineyard located in Duravel, in the Lot region. With its twelve hectares of Malbec and Merlot vines, it produces an elegant wine from an exceptional Cahors terroir. Owner Marcel Mezy applies a specific fertilization method to enhance the Cantelauze terroir. The estate is also committed to the fight against global warming. As well as visiting the estate, you can taste and buy Château Cantelauze-Mezy wines.

The store in Payrac offers products from the farm at 10 m. Moreover, it is visited every weekday evening in summer, with tastings. Freshness and quality of products guaranteed! The fresh produce section is an important part of the store and the summer barbecue is just waiting for the duck sausages: you can't get more local. A restaurant opened in May 2022, called Le Séchoir because it is located in a former tobacco drying shed, right next to the store.

In 2013, Didier Pelvillain, originally from Albas, decided to develop his vineyard at the Domaine du Théron in Prayssac. 12 hectares of vines planted on the hillsides, surrounding the winery, on a unique terroir of the Cahors vineyard. Composed of soils with little clay, tawny sands, ochre and ferruginous stones, this terroir brings the expression of a very beautiful minerality in the wines. The estate is situated on a unique panoramic site and combines a spacious reception area with the most modern winery.

Trained as a pastry chef, Jérôme Moulinou became a pastry chef from the Lot department after his training at the Lycée Hôtelier de Souillac, a reference in the profession. After a career in the restaurant business, he opened his own shop in Cahors "Lilu" as a tribute to his two daughters Lina and Lucine. In 2021, he was a candidate for the title of "Best Bakery in France". In his bakery, the bread is crispy and the pastries are a hit! Very beautiful mastery of pastry techniques, which gives very beautiful pieces. You will also find a whole range of savoury products.

Isabelle is an artisan chocolate maker. She creates chocolate with ingredients cultivated with respect for the environment and the human being. She uses Peruvian cocoa paste from the Trinitario variety, to which she adds cocoa butter and whole cane sugar. All her creations contain 80% cocoa. She then transforms her preparation into different recipes for candies, bars, spreads, etc. All the fruits she incorporates in her recipes are candied in her workshop: oranges, lemon and ginger.

Established in 2010 in the commune of Saint-Céré, Brasserie de la Cère finally moved to Martel in 2014. With his beers, Julien has conquered the region's brewing market: a wide range is offered, with La Dorée, a triple-fermented blonde, as the star. Julien brews his beers in an artisanal way and the raw material is labeled organic. Ethics is a deep commitment of the brewery which favors local sales and is committed to recovering bottles. And above all, the beer is delicious!

Laurent's fish farm is a small paradise for fishermen. He is happy to pass on his passion. On the borders of the Lot, the Moulin de Guiral is at the same time a place of production (rainbow trout and Farios, etc.), a private fishing spot and a place to relax with friends or family, with a refreshment bar and the possibility of picnic. You don't have a fishing rod? No problem: you can rent a rod, and all the equipment you need. Laurent also sells trout by the kilo or in processed products: there is nothing fresher!

At Anne-Marie's, we raise ducks the old-fashioned way, in small production, respecting the animals, the seasons and ancestral methods. The birds have large runs on which they can run, exercise and live in the open air! In winter, you will find at the farm of Tandounet boneless whole ducks with foie gras, duck breasts with foie gras, semi-cooked foie gras... Throughout the year, in the farm's shop, the breeder offers foie gras, pâté with truffled foie gras, fritons, gizzards...

With 8.5 ha of vines, including 7 ha planted with Malbec, the historic grape variety of AOC Cahors, this is one of the only vineyards in the appellation to be located in the Cadurci commune! On the heights above the town, it's scattered around a typical Quercy farm. Laurent has been working this small family estate for 20 years. He produces 3 red wines, 1 rosé IGP Côte du Lot and 1 ratafia, the region's traditional aperitif. Discreet and humble, Laurent loves to share his passion for wine with visitors. He has just been awarded the AB label, a guarantee of quality in organic farming.
