Ô GOURMET DES CAUSSES

Regional groceries

Located between Monceau Park and Saint Augustin Square, a 10-minute walk from Saint-Lazare, this beautiful fine grocery store specializes in charcuterie and cheese. Gourmet of Causses is held by three young Aveyronnais pure juice and passionate by their profession. The name of the sign comes from the fact that all products come from the Causses region (cheeses, charcuterie, wine, jam, honey, beer…), and the delicacies, carefully selected, come from the Iberian Peninsula. The cherry on the cake: The staff were very friendly and helpful.

LA TABLE UNIQUE DE CEDRIC CASANOVA

Mediterranean grocery

No, no, we haven't made any spelling or typing errors. Concervatoire" is spelled with a "c" like concerto. Cédric Casanova, Monsieur "Tête dans les olives", has given this name to his second Sicilian enclave, just a stone's throw from the first. Just as confidential as the first, this table d'hôte grocery store focuses more on early produce and cereals from the Valle del Belice than on olive oils.

More than 500 references from the Italian boot… You have understood this, here you can find the grape varieties, wine growers, Italian soil thanks to Mihran Karabetyan who travelled across the country for several years before creating his cellar in 2008. He works as closely as possible with independent areas and carefully selects his wines with oenologists. There are small treasures, wines in biodynamie, great wines and more. A small grocery radius offers cold charcuterie, balsamic vinegar, olive oils.

PANIFICA

Bakery

Gaëtane Raguet and François Brault display the traditional winged wrestle with a mixture of natural levain and yeast and less refined organic flour at the round price of 1 €… What we like most of all are the breads made with old cereals or the flour flour and the natural levain. Benefits of this method: the taste developed by slow fermentation and conservation. Cooking is done in quite high temperature with a steam injection that gives the brilliance to the bread. Antique wheat-based starch is one of the lighthouses of the shop with buckwheat and corn breads and gluten-free bread. You can enjoy it on site.

Cupcakemania is like bugermania. It's a wind of gourmet madness that's been blowing through the capital for several months now, and many people are jumping on it... One of the latest is Sandy. She's opened a pink-clad, girly tearoom where she brings to life cupcakes of all colours. Some are classic, others more original. Sandy makes them according to the season and her mood. She has fun inventing cake pops or chocolate lollipops.

Just jams, that was a daring move... Lise Bienaimé has done it! Formerly a marketing expert at L'Oréal, she chose to make a living from her passion, jam, and worked with producers to develop a wide range of jams according to the season. Many jams are original and surprising, such as mango-coconut-white chocolate, banana-passion-ginger, apricot-passion-groseille or rhubarb-geranium, while others are more classic.

Galette des Rois aficionados don't hesitate to cross the city, and he sells up to 4,000 of them every year! It's undoubtedly one of the best in the capital. LA NOUVELLE CAVE

It's no longer a wine shop, it's an experience: if La Nouvelle Cave has a classic name, the location, right in the heart of the Marais, is already less so. Pink and grey, airy, it's a welcome change from the piles of crates and boxes. It's also the chance to take part in regular workshops, led of course by experts, and covering a wide spectrum, from wine to beer to cocktails. This is definitely a place like no other, where a warm welcome is not an empty word. Definitely worth a try.

CURIOSITÉS

Market gardeners

It's a simple fact: the standardization of visual criteria and the waste of food for futile reasons are taking their toll. Thus, many fruits and vegetables considered as "ugly" are irremediably thrown away before being consumed: crooked carrots, tomatoes with a big nose, deformed strawberries. That's why Curiosities has set itself the goal of offering them to you: no more waste, hello original (and not ugly) fruits that keep their flavor and, for many, will bring an original touch to your dishes. The icing on the cake is that the company makes it a point of honor to pay the producers concerned as much as possible. True to her values, Maria the owner continues her quest for ever more responsible and ethical products and now offers a well-stocked grocery section (aperitif cakes, spreads, wine, beer, cookies...) but also more exotic but still eco-responsible fruits and vegetables (avocados, mangoes, oranges...) thanks to her partnership with Etic Miam.

CAVE 18

Caviste

Eric de Greef is a former web designer who got fed up with the web. He wanted to make a living from his passion, and so Cave 18 was born. Unlike other often cluttered cellars, his is modern, bright and airy, with all the bottles neatly arranged. He favors small, inexpensive appellations, and you can sense his preference for southern wines such as those from Languedoc and the Rhône Valley. Other regions are less well represented, although there are a few nice little labels. Over 400 references, including foreign wines, vins doux naturels, as well as champagnes, whiskies, rums, armagnacs, cognacs and more. Eric de Greef's cellar is a living space. He offers a wine bar open weekdays from 5pm and all weekend long, with a snack bar (tapas, terrines, charcuterie or cheese platters, salads...). He also invites artists to his micro-gallery for themed evenings.

BOUCHERIE LE BOURDONNEC

It's as well to say it, you have to be a distinguished "viandard" to stock up here... and not be on the lookout for spending money. Because the Angus T-bone (sirloin on one side and tenderloin on the other) or the entrecote with parsley just right have a price, but connoisseurs, whatever their preference - meats with more or less lamb's lettuce and with a more or less concentrated taste - will appreciate it.
