You'll have to venture into the nooks and crannies of Sion to find L'Enclos de Valère, named after one of the castles that dominate the town. A magnificent spot at the top of Rue des Châteaux. You'd think you were in the South, and in summer the terrace is an oasis of greenery. L'Enclos de Valère is one of the region's best-known restaurants, ideal for romantic dinners. The rustic decor of the dining room perfectly complements the local cuisine and refined dishes on offer. You'll love coming here to enjoy perch fillets or the autumn hunting menu.

The restaurant, which boasts a large terrace adjoining the eponymous hotel, offers a sublime view of the lake and the Alps on the horizon. The site (12 km from Montreux) can therefore provide a base for your explorations in the region for a relatively moderate price for Switzerland, always varying according to the period. The terrace, however, is next to the road and can be noisy. The menu also varies according to seasonal produce. In winter, you'll enjoy classic dishes such as lobster, seafood sauerkraut and salmon.

Ah, Thailand and its flavors that are an invitation to travel, a departure to the unique aromas of Siam! They're exactly the same ones that make you feel like you're back in Bangkok, sitting in a gargote, or elsewhere in the country. Simply delicious: tom kha gai, chicken in coconut milk, curry, pad thai or papaya salad. The restaurant is a well-deserved success. Small, unpretentious storefront, close to the lake. In a bistro atmosphere, we like to share crispy homemade pizzas with fine dough. You will be won over by the Caprices des Dieux pizza or the Dolce Vita pizza. The menu also features pasta prepared al dente such as the penne tartufo or, more exotic, the Lola Montes with Mexican spices. A beautiful decoration with the pretty detail of the tablecloths with small gingham checks and the black and white photo galleries. It is in all conviviality that one tastes these dishes full of sun. Chicken and nothing but chicken, but roasted to perfection and really tasty. This is the fourth address in Geneva of this chain of restaurants with an excellent quality/price ratio. Ma Cousine takes up the challenge by varying its chicken recipes according to its desires. Whether you eat it fleetingly by licking your fingers or by enjoying it minced, chicken is in the spotlight and there are many variations on the menu. Indian style chicken salad, and the unmistakable half chicken on a spit, the flagship of the establishment. Excellent concept for a good meal.

This is the Hôtel de France restaurant. Why 77? Because it's open every evening, and the produce and wine on offer are sourced within a 77-kilometer radius. A great project! The cuisine is seasonal and local, yet inventive. You absolutely must try the local nectar that has given rise to so much controversy: absinthe. The restaurant offers around thirty different varieties. This plant used to be grown in the Franches Montagnes. You can try it by the glass, of course, but also in starters, sauces and desserts.

You have the choice between 3 different atmospheres: the Afghan room with its traditional decor with its small wooden chairs, red cushions and its intimate universe, the Sunflower room with its bright and summery colours and more contemporary, or the Classic room which offers a more elegant seating in warm and classic tones. Whatever your choice of space, the menu takes you to exotic flavours and fragrances. Head to the "Kutchi" tasting menu for an authentic overview of the specialties of Afghan cuisine.
