St. Gallen Church is one of the oldest religious foundations in Bordeaux. The texts mention, from the th century, the existence of a women's convent founded by Dagobert I. His son, Sigebert, would have deposited in the altar a relic of St. Eulalia, a young Spanish martyr of the third century. St. Gallen Church, thanks to numerous construction and restoration campaigns, has become a true open book on the history of Bordeaux art over the centuries: all ages and styles blend in, thus making its originality and richness. Its fence grids date back to the th century. It has a very nice stand and many paintings.

Overlooking the docks at the height of Saint-Michel district, this Door is part of the arch of triumphal doors, commissioned by Intendant Square to replace those of the Middle Ages. Gara, however, was not rebuilt in the place of another, also in 1758 it was a new opening in the rampart to facilitate transport between the quays and the Capuchin district. It holds its name from the Currency Workshop that was located very close.

Built in the th century instead of a fortified primitive church, the Église church of Specious is in Neo-Gothic style. Easily recognisable with its high steeple-porch, a real lighthouse of the canton, the church consists of a long central vessel of five spans completed by a polygonal apse.

Thelanding stage (with its restaurants) is also very popular with walkers and anglers. It is always the starting point of the shuttles to Arcachon. Cap Ferret is appreciated by the big fortunes of the CAC 40, the movie and song stars who have bought well hidden houses, often in the 44 hectares area. You will sometimes meet them at Chez Pierre, Chez Hortense, at the Pinasse Café or at the Wharf. Cap Ferret has also been used as a film location for various movies.
