MAISON DES TROIS NOURRICES
Read moreIn the heart of the old medieval neighborhood, within walking distance from Basilique Saint-Paul-Serge, this private residence is one of the jewels of the district of Bourg. This is the only type of Renaissance architecture of the sixteenth century Narbonne still has. Maison des Trois Nourrices owes its name to the large breasts of the caryatids of its facade. These sculptures surround the bay with pier glass and adorn the southern frontage. In Narbonne, it is said that the house received Molière and that Cinq-Mars was arrested while he plotted against Richelieu. Since its restoration in 2007, it has been housing the Prenatal Service of the Hospital. This house can be visited within European Heritage Days.

HOTEL DE BERNUY
Read moreThe hotel de Bernuy is more known today under the name of the high school, which houses it, the Pierre de Fermat high school. Nevertheless, this is the origin of one of the most beautiful hotels in the city, built thanks to the pastel trade in the sixteenth century. It is possible to admire it from Gambetta Street, which leads to the Garonne from the Capitole. The Pastelier Pastelier Jean Bernuy, who became Capitoul in 1533, therefore erected this hotel by Louis Privat in the Renaissance style. Its hexagonal tower is one of the highest in the city.

Walking tour to discover the capitelles
Read moreWhether you lived on the Aude or just passing through the Aude, you could not miss the numerous stone huts that dotted the landscape of Cathar Country. Typical of the region, these constructions bearing the name "capitelles" used to be used as a shelter for shepherds. The promenade we offer will allow you to discover a few. On the Rue du Château-Fort, it is an illustrated stone indicating its departure; You will then need to follow the direction of Villelongue before taking on the left and following the yellow marking of the trees (sometimes random: distrust!). The capitelles are indicated by yellow panels.
Tariff: free.
Duration: 1 p. m.
