The Jurade, Saint-Émilion's wine brotherhood, traces its origins back to 1199. Of course, this festival also involves the Confrérie de la Tomate de Marmande, a PGI tomato with a new label. An initiative of the 4 Vents du Bouglonnais association and retired bakers. In 1960, Ivan, the last baker in the village to make wood-fired bread, closed up store, and the smell of freshly baked bread ceased to hang over Bouglon. In 2015, bread and heritage enthusiasts restored the village's communal oven, and since then, a bread festival has been held in Bouglon in early summer. On the program: bread-making and baking in the communal oven, a "auberge espagnole" at lunchtime, and the opportunity to bake your own dishes in the oven.
