This is the story of Louis and Marguerite, who in 1968 set up a farm in La Chapelle-Thireuil. Converted to organic farming over 30 years ago, it is now farmed by their grandchildren, Thomas and Karine, who have created a brewery to enhance the farm's cereals. Their slogan: "From earth to beer". A distillery and canning facility have since been added to the project. They welcome you for a playful tour or for workshops on brewing their farmhouse beers.

The establishment has the "Bienvenue à la ferme" label and specialises in cattle breeding. Beautiful cows and no less charming oxen will welcome you in the vicinity of the Bressuirais bocage. The producer offers beef from his farm at local markets or at the farm (and even by delivery). Three types of meat packages ranging from 6 kg to 18 kg with different pieces according to the tastes of each, ready-made meals and even cold cuts. Enough to satisfy all the hungry stomachs.

The Gaillard family set up their farm in Ménigoute in 1979. It is now their daughter Bérangère who has taken over the farm and perpetuates the family tradition by feeding the ducks and selling the products concocted on the basis of traditional recipes: foie gras, rillettes, pâtés, ready-made meals, puddings, confits, stuffed neck, frittons, foie gras mousseline, liver pâté... as well as fresh products such as magret, fresh liver... This is a family farm of 80 alpine goats with seasonal grazing. The Albert family's land and farm are certified organic. The producers transform their goat's milk into cheeses - you can find chabis, faisselles, p'tits ronds, mothais, logs, pyramids, tommes... And if you get lost, they'll be able to give you good advice on how to choose between all the flavours! Note that this farm is located on the road to Chabichou and that it also has pigs that roam in the open air as well as a farmyard.

This young (and very talented) pastry-chocolate-confectioner apprenticed with two Deux-Sévriens Meilleurs ouvriers de France, bakers Dominique and Thomas Planchot. After a spell at the Maison Flu (Niort), he took over the pastry-making reins at the Alexandra Palace, before finally daring to set up shop in the Bocage region in 2023. Once upon a time, Rodolphe Neaud, a cheesemaker, swapped milk for cereals and launched the first local artisanal pasta company in the Deux-Sèvres region: Melle et une pâte. Made from local cereals, the pasta is now available in some thirty recipes, some of which are egg-based, organic or with the Bleu Blanc Coeur label. Mafaldines, campaniles, gnochetti, macaroni and tagliatelle are flavored with Espelette chili, seaweed, nettles, angelica... to combine flavor and health benefits. Yummy!

Régis and Laëtitia Amail produce 6 different basic honeys. From the lightest to the most pronounced, all these honeys are of excellent quality and the choice depends solely on your taste. Flagship product: the sunflower honey harvested in the Poitou-Charentes region is, like the sunflower fields, bright yellow and discreet in aroma. Other products: the confits which are honeys developed with lemon, hazelnuts, raspberry... A delight.

Ah, the Gâtinettes from Chocolats et délices du Poitou! A delicious blend of honeyed flaked almonds coated in chocolate. A delicacy to be savored at once, to be found in the stores of Poitou producers and in the incredible chocolate factory of Azay-sur-Thouet: a small artisanal store where chocolate and butter cakes flow freely and in all forms. A friendly farm with 250 goats (Alpine and Saanen), also listed on the Route des Fromages de Chèvre de Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Domaine de la Gachère is a vineyard located in Val en Vignes, on the border between Deux-Sèvres and Maine-et-Loire. It offers a wide range of wines, from whites to reds, rosés and sparkling wines. Flagship products include A.O.P Anjou Rouge Cuvée "Alexia", A.O.P Rosé de Loire and A.O.P Crémant de Loire. The estate also offers sparkling grape juice and grape juice.

By limiting the collection of the milk needed to make this soft gold to a circle of 50 km and 140 producers, the Echiré dairy aims to stay as close as possible to its terroir. Its membership of the AOC Charentes-Poitou "Beurre des Deux-Sèvres" label is well-deserved. Among the products available, in addition to the mild and semi-salted ranges, is a "drier" butter, specially designed for cooking and pastry-making, with the particularity of revealing only 14% moisture.

Soignon is the leading brand of self-service goat cheese in supermarkets. Saint-Maixent-l'École is home to one of their production sites and therefore one of their factory outlets. You will be able to discover all their products there: goat's cheese, cow's cheese, butter, cream, organic products, yoghurts and desserts, you will not stop loving goats and cows when you see all the good things that are produced with their milk!

Located in the historic district of Parthenay, La Gargante is an atypical restaurant offering street food inspired by different cultures. Céline and Alexandre, the passionate owners, welcome you in a warm and friendly atmosphere. La Gargante has two tasting rooms, including one on the second floor that can be privatized for events. You can also enjoy the terrace in fine weather. The dining cellar offers a selection of cheeses, charcuterie and other artisanal products to enjoy on the premises or to take away. Les Saveurs de Gâtine is a market gardener offering fresh fruit and vegetables for direct sale. Other delicacies produced by their partners include honey, preserved meats, jams, eggs and goat's cheese. What's more, they offer the possibility of buying their products from other outlets or having them delivered to Bressuire. Agnès Ravailleau's saffron farm, where she produces crocus sativus using sustainable agriculture methods. The pistils are harvested, pruned and dehydrated in October. Visit the facilities, punctuated by a tasting/sale of exceptional artisanal products: saffron powder (with instructions for use), jams and flavored fine jellies, fruit jellies (apple, pear, blackberry, quince partly grown on site). Agnès also sells her own bulbs: enough to encourage you to grow your own saffron at home?

Once upon a time, there was the Airvault grocery store, a cooperative local shop where you can find the best of the local producers, enough to make a good meal and bring back some tasty memories from the Deux-Sèvres. 50 km around! This is the watchword for local productions: cheeses, honey, cookies, chocolates, wine, beers, more than fifty producers are represented on the shelves alongside organic and conventional products. A little gem of a shop that brings life back to the town!

350 goats raised on the family farm, fed on grass, hay and cereals produced on the farm (100% organic). From there, mothais on leaf, tricorne pigouille, faisselle are made according to the traditional method: farm ferment, ladle molding, salting, unmolding and turning by hand. The Argentonnay craft brewery, which produces several kraft beers: blond, white, pale and flavored (chocolate, honey...). It also produces the excellent Mon Chéri gin. A magnificent concept store a stone's throw from the Thouars market, where you can treat yourself to exceptional gourmet products and decorative items. With 120^{m2 of} tastefully selected products, Au plaisir des mets will whet your appetite with teas, coffees, preserves, bulk spices, local produce and gourmet shelves for gourmets. On the mezzanine floors, it's time to decorate with a range of trendy tableware, lighting, small furniture and household linen. Also a tearoom, the address welcomes you for a drink and a pastry (from Resto du coin) in its garden.

An institution! Since the 12th century, this village has seen calves and other livestock converge on the market place every Tuesday. During the Middle Ages, there were up to 10 annual fairs, making Lezay a real hub for the market of large farm animals! Today, the fair is a weekly market. It is the^first market for goats and kids, the^second for calves and the^third for all species. You will also find local products!

It is in the pretty village of Salles that the Weasel of the Brasserie du Val de Sèvre is hiding. On the labels of the beverages, she poses, not without humor. In this micro-brewery, David Ollivier will only offer you organic beers, produced with barley from Poitou-Charentes, hops from the Vendée and sometimes even from the rooms, since the brewery has its own hop field. A huge livestock yard where buyers, boxes in hand, discreetly snatch up broutards, bullocks, beef cattle and other sheep, all from local farms (85% of specimens are sold). Open to the public and immersed in a joyous hubbub. In 2011, the auction saved the Parthenay market, once the largest in France. The principle: to raise prices rather than lower them. This cheese dairy, founded in 1994, works in the traditional farmhouse way. The raw milk comes from partner breeders whose goats graze in the Mellois region. La fromagerie des Gors is a story of family and passion! The curds are ladled and carefully matured to delight our taste buds. Over 20 recipes are created: chabichou du Poitou AOC/AOP, couronne, bûche, losange, briquette, petit pavé, chevrette, dôme, palet, mothais sur feuille, and mothais sur feuille biologique. All guaranteed GMO-free!

This delicatessen is located a stone's throw from the Clock Tower and the Citadel. This is the place to take a quick and refreshing break between your wanderings from one district to another, to nibble on boards, salads, homemade sandwiches, deliciously steaming hot dishes and desserts. You can have a drink and buy wine to accompany portions of refined charcuterie, baskets filled with delicacies, cheeses and goodies to discover as they arrive. The boutique of the Pamplie dairy, a cooperative since 1905 and famous... the world over for the quality of its PDO butter. Who would have thought that this former clog factory would one day become an organic grocery store? It's run by a charming couple with a passion for good food: Emi and Fred Borie Le Rhun. Groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products are all organic and as local as possible. On the shelves, served in bulk, cereals and other legumes are arranged in pots, ready to jump into the pots. At the Lusignan grocery store, everyone has their own specialty: for Fred, the cellar side and his biodynamic wines, for Emi, the power of Ayurvedic herbal teas.

The monks of Ligugé share with the Carmelite sisters of Niort a recipe whose ingredients (sugar, cream, eggs, flour and almonds) have formed the name of this specialty: the SCOFA. It is a mille-feuille with sheets of meringue pastry, on which cream and chopped almonds are placed. A delightful treat. Made in a square shape and in many formats, its composition seems rich, but it contains only 300 calories per 100 grams. You can find it in the store of the abbey of Ligugé, in the Carmel of Niort, as well as on certain markets.
