Organized by the Syndicat des AOP Olive & Huile d'olive Nîmes, the Advent Oil Festival takes place at the beginning of December, in many communes of the Gard. The opening of the mills of Beaucaire, Uzès, Villevieille, Saint-Gilles ... is conducive to the discovery of the domains and the tasting of local products. A rich and varied program, focused on the knowledge of the gold of the garrigues of the Gard is set up for the pleasure of the whole family.

In the past, abrivado was the term used to describe the driving of bulls from the pastures to the bullring under the watchful eye of the gardians. Today, it's a bullfighting tradition that consists of simulating these bull transfers by releasing them into the village streets during traditional Camargue festivals. The Abrivado at Grau-du-Roi is the first event of the year to launch the traditional cattle season. Would you like to experience it in Grau-du-Roi? This exciting museum bears the ancient name of the city of Bram, which was, in Roman times, the largest city on the Via Aquitania between Toulouse and Narbonne. With more than 800 archaeological items on display - a quarter of which have been restored - the permanent exhibition retraces the history of Bram and the West Aude from prehistoric times to the end of the Middle Ages. Divided into six themes, the exhibition takes you through a shimmering decor where tools, jewellery, coins and ceramics blend together. But the highlight of the show is undoubtedly the lapidary inscription of the Bram theatre. You will also discover the funeral practices used at the time, the organization of the rural area with its Gallo-Roman farms and villas, some of which are still in use today, as well as the medieval habitat of this region, which is distinguished by its circular villages. Note the organisation of temporary exhibitions and conferences, and the possibility to visit the research laboratory during the Heritage Days. For the record, the construction site of this archaeological house unveiled a segment of the Aquitaine way, a capital route of the Gallo-Roman era, around which the city of Bram was built.

An event that has long life since it has existed since 1936. The Festival Folklorique International d 'Amélie-les-Bains celebrated its 76 th edition in 2018. Every year, it offers an exceptional plateau of 600 artists (or more) from all continents to present folk dance performances on the streets of the 1 st spa resort in the Catalan Country. A show of beauty that ends in apotheosis with a closing gala entitled «The night of continents» in the theater of greenery.

Castelnaudary can't go a year without celebrating its cassoulet! The festival kicks off with the "ronde du cassoulet", a night-time walk and run, and continues on the following days with musical bandas, shows and concerts, a craft market, a cycle tour and the "Grande Confrérie du Cassoulet". La Secret Place is a concert hall located in Saint-Jean-de-Védas, near Montpellier. For over 20 years, the Tout À Fond association has been organizing rock concerts and festivals at this iconic venue. The venue hosts over 150 concerts a year and also offers free exhibitions. The Secret Place has become a gathering place for rock fans, offering musical discoveries and encounters. The association has over 8,000 members and actively contributes to the dissemination of rock music in France, with an influence throughout the south of France. TAF also offers rehearsal space, two recording studios and a music label. To support this initiative, the association has set up a crowdfunding platform where anyone can contribute in their own way.
