The Emmuscades is a series of open-air cinema sessions that take place in the heart of sublime wine estates. This event is organized by the association Hallu'cinés, passionate about cinema, rare and independent films. A little gem, it is a very friendly meeting. Before the projection, the spectators will be able to taste a plate of mussels with a glass of Muscat for the aperitif. The evening can continue around the food-trucks or picnics drawn from the bag. At nightfall, you can sit in front of the screen, under the stars.

Two days for a journey to the time of the Romans. They invite you to immerse yourself in antiquity, on the archaeological site of the Gallo-Roman villa of Loupian, a testimony of the rich local history. The program includes various educational activities: maneuvers and troop clashes, Gallic fencing, gladiator shows... And all day long, continuous activities with many participatory workshops for the young public: mosaics, pottery, tile and brick making, games, writing... and also experimental archaeology.

Languedocian jousts havetheir roots in Frontignan. They have been evidenced as early as 1627 on Etang d'Ingril. The cardinal of Richelieu, at the time of his visit to Frontignan in 1629, attended the unique show of a tournament of Languedocian jousts. Since then, this local tradition has remained intact. The City's tournament is an opportunity to discover this sport that is very attractive. Two men, the knights of the tintaine, fight in duel. Perched on the tintaine of their boat, with a spear, they must, by striking the shiel of their opponent, bring down this one into water.

Be a spectator at another Languedoc jousting tournament, this time in Marseillan! This traditional sport, which has its roots in Frontignan dating back to 1627, has remained intact and is practiced in eight towns in the Hérault and one in the Gard. The fight begins as soon as the oboes and drums sound the charge, and you can then watch, in a traditional musical atmosphere, as the jousters clash, all dressed in white, on their blue and red boats.

For more than 20 years, the town of Balaruc-le-Vieux has been organizing its Medieval Festival. During a weekend, the city finds its colors of the past. Numerous companies bring the Middle Ages back to life for the public with encampments, knights' fights, plays, troubadours, weddings, old trades, stalls... There is also a medieval market, with craftsmen and delicious local products. The festivities continue with parades, parades, themed evenings and a closing night with fireworks that illuminate the ramparts.

Since 2002, the Identi'Cat festival has been festively promoted by the Baotenca Aire Nou association in Baho, in the name of the "normality" of the Catalan language and culture in northern Catalonia. Beginning in Pézillà and ending in Baho, the festival celebrates the vigor of the Catalan language and the richness of the culture of the Catalan lands, with an exceptional program free and open to all: theater, concerts, shows, dances, correfocs, Catalan giants, parades... An authentic, committed festival not to be missed!

K-Live is the very first festival of the summer. Dedicated to urban cultures, it invites street-artists to color the walls of the city with their murals, under the amazed eyes of onlookers. The works enrich the Open Sky Museum (MACO). The program is also open to children who wish to discover street art under the guidance of young artists of the genre. During the festival, you can also meet on the beach, in the city center or at the theater of the sea to party to the sound of the joyful turntables of carefully selected DJs.

Created by enthusiasts of the seventh art, this Festival is dedicated to audiovisual art. It offers the screening of many carefully selected films, often little known to the general public, but also workshops, meetings, street art... In theaters, on the beach, outdoors, you will discover films but also series, clips, homage to a filmmaker, previews, bridges between the world of rap and cinema: this very rich event honors various artistic forms and allows you to admire beautiful nuggets.

What an original party! At the end of October, Les Gens de la Soupe invite you to come and celebrate soups and broths, because "a feast warms the heart, a soup warms the body". The festival features a wide range of events, including collective peeling, soup making and tasting, bowl sales, soup hikes, lectures, film screenings, a farmers' market, soup competitions, "apérisoupe", a traditional dance and concerts... During the weekend, you can even take part in the soup perch: climb a tree (in complete safety!) and enjoy your soup from high up!

In summer, the port of Mèze is abuzz with the excitement of the Languedoc jousting tournaments organized by two local societies: the Nouvelle Lance Mézoise and the Jeune Lance Sportive Mézoise. The four categories (junior, senior, medium and heavy) compete on the water to the delight of spectators! Enjoy these traditional sporting competitions on a restaurant terrace or on the quayside, with an ice cream in hand!

The Paroles Gabales association and the FDSEA are organizing the Fête des Pâturages to give everyone a chance to discover the world of agriculture. Throughout the day, you'll be able to discover the animals of the Lozère farms and meet cows, calves, sheep, lambs, goats, horses, donkeys, rabbits... as well as enjoy demonstrations of local know-how (haymaking, sheep shearing, wood sawing, herd dog training...), traditional dances, an artisan farmers' market with beautiful local products and entertainment for children.

Come and discover the spirit of the troubadours through this original festival! From April to October, some 50 concerts take place in the 13 departments of the Occitanie region, with artists from all over the world reinterpreting the songs of Romanesque art. This itinerant festival takes place in places representative of Occitan medieval history, such as Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert Abbey, Notre-Dame de Flaran Abbey and Saint-Lizier Cathedral.

The transhumance is a traditional and convivial event, eagerly awaited by thousands of people every year. It's a celebration of the herds' ascent to the pastures and high plateaus for the summer, when the grass is more tender. Les Toques blanches Roussillon-Occitanie, presided over by Jean Plouzenec and Henri Ronde, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. After two years of "dearth" due to Covid, the Palais Gourmand becomes Palais des Chefs. And what a Palais! Forty chefs associated with forty winegrowers, assisted by Olivier Bajard, MOF and world pastry champion, Henri Poch, MOF in bakery, and some starred "pointures" like the Pourcel brothers, to name but a few, highlight, for one evening, their know-how and the products of the Catalan soil for a thousand guests. A once in a lifetime experience.

Every summer, the thermal waters of Balaruc-les-Bains play host to Languedoc jousting tournaments, notably during its annual festival. As in neighboring towns, the tournaments take place in the port. Armed with their spears and bulwarks, the jousters try to knock their opponents into the water, under the wide-eyed gaze of the children and the amused eyes of the older ones. These are not-to-be-missed events when you visit Balaruc and the surrounding area!

This festival re-enacts a key tradition in medieval history: "Las Claus de La Paumo" (9th and 13th centuries). At the time, the lord of the village had to take an oath before a monk delegated by the abbey of Lagrasse. The monk then gave him the keys to the village for a year, and in exchange, he promised the protection of the city. A great celebration would then follow... Since 2002, La Palme has revived this tradition! At the end of the ceremony, it's time to celebrate! On the program: bandas, bodegas, street shows and a closing ball.

In the splendid and historic arena of Nîmes, meet in May at Pentecost for the famous ferias and their Camargue races! For 5 days, the festivities are in full swing: Royale de la manade Saumade, bullfights, international recortadores competition, novillada de la cape d'Or... Don't miss the olive festival in Bize-Minervois! During a whole day, it is the occasion to learn the secrets of the olive tree, from the culture of the tree to the benefits of the olive oil. On the program: demonstration of pruning and grafting of olive trees, conference on the cultivation and maintenance of the olive tree, great aioli competition, aperitif, lunch... The afternoon is devoted to occitan animations and the gourmet market. The day ends in beauty with the burning of the river, fireworks and concert.

In October, Anduzepaystribute to the symbolic tree of the Cévennes with two popular events: the chestnut festival and the soup festival. The village is transformed into a huge market of arts and crafts, local produce and flavours (roasted chestnuts, honey, wine, charcuterie, cheeses...). There's also a soup competition and tastings. Without doubt, this is a popular festival with the flavour and traditions of the Gard!

This huge market, set at the foot of an impressive pyramid of reinette apples and sweet onions, features a wide range of local produce from the Gard region. Gourmets will love the giant onion soup or sweet onion fritters with chestnut flour, or the "special fair" menu in the town's restaurants. You'll also find Camargue bulls, olives, Bouzigues oysters, pélardons, chestnuts, mushrooms, Vézénobres figs, Uzès black truffles..

The greatest names in classical and baroque music from all over the world have been gathering in July in Uzès for over fifty years. In the courtyards of the duchy and the bishop's palace, in the cathedral of Saint-Théodorit, the church of Saint-Étienne, the temple or the auditorium of L'Ombrière, symphonies and concertos enchant the ducal city during two weeks. The first edition of the festival Festa Majorca was a great success! With an eclectic program implemented by Catalan producers with the support of the department, it is in the heart of Perpignan, in the sumptuous palace of the kings of Majorca, that festival-goers can enjoy two enchanted days: traditional wooden games for young and old, sound baths with local tunes, old-fashioned circus, dance and rock scenes, electro as well as sound system... It is about sixty Catalan artists who meet during this beautiful local event.

For more than 30 years, the lucques, which is an AOC olive, is honored in Saint-Jean-de-la-Blaquière and Clermont-l'Hérault the last weekend of September. The producers gather around the olive to celebrate this moment of sharing by tastings. Strolls with stories, a market of local producers, the discovery of organic cosmetics based on olive oil, animations for children, and a 100% local meal around the Lucques, animate the streets of the villages. A beautiful program honoring the land and the Lucques in particular!

This event is held in the gardens of the town hall: local producers and craftsmen from all over the department are present. Producers of olive oil, tapenades, olives, honeys, jams, wines, fruit juices, as well as an oil bar and tastings. Activities for children, a country lunch with a band for the atmosphere, etc.. For the past 17 years, this event has honored local products and has been a growing success.

Saint-Chély-d'Apcher holds its traditional annual festival at the beginning of August, in a friendly, family atmosphere. August 16 is the annual celebration of Montpellier's patron saint, Saint Roch, in the city of his birth. Montpellier organizes the Fêtes de la Saint Roch, an event open to all, welcoming not only thousands of pilgrims, but also visitors and tourists from all over the world. On the program for these festive days: a tour dedicated to Saint Roch with Tourist Office guides, an international symposium, processions and liturgical events, festive street entertainment and concerts.

On the Côte Vermeille, Banyuls celebrates Catalan culture in July. The festival kicks off with a parade of musical groups accompanied by the impressive Capgrossos Torroellencs, a 400-year-old tradition from Torroella-de-Montgri. Enjoy this joyous cavalcade to the sound of the gralla along the route. Don't miss the sardanes that liven up the streets, the many concerts and the seaside Catalan market. The origins of this great traditional festival lie in the celebrations surrounding the arrival of the relics of the town's patron saint in 1701. Today, the Saint-Vincent festivities in Collioure have become the highlight of Collioure life. Over the course of 5 days, locals and visitors alike gather to enjoy a wide range of entertainment: sea processions in Catalan boats, water games, concerts and bandas, balls, sardanas, street arts... not forgetting the grandiose fireworks display launched over the bay!

What an unmissable event! This friendly sporting event takes place on the beach at Gruissan over 3 days. It's the biggest "touch" tournament on the Mediterranean coast, and you'll be able to watch some great beach rugby matches, but here, for more speed, less downtime and more spectacle, it's tackle-free! There's plenty of entertainment on offer too: beach rugby for women, children and teenagers, player autographs, concerts... A sensational weekend for lovers of the oval ball!

The Sant Jordi festival in Perpignan is a not-to-be-missed event in the literary world. For 10 days, books are in the spotlight with an attractive program including conferences, exhibitions, shows, book fairs and signings, writing workshops, tributes, film screenings and the Mediterranean prize-giving ceremony... 3 days of traditional Catalan dance in Céret! This dance holds a special place in the hearts of all Roussillon residents. During the festival, you'll be able to meet "colles" (groups of dancers) from the 4 corners of the department and Spanish Catalonia. To the sound of coblas (sardana orchestras), try your hand at this dance or enjoy the music in the streets and squares of the village! The event closes with the "Germanor", a sardana fraternity gathering up to 500 dancers.

Organized by Le Fil Production, the Trad'session is a touring season of traditional music in music venues across the Occitanie region. Each session is a new call to share and celebrate for fans of traditional music and dance.
