Firmly rooted in the traditions of Vallespir, this festival attracts a crazy world every year. In the pagan ritual of the passage from winter to spring, two men dressed as bears enter the village, chasing onlookers and terrorizing young girls. The hunters then organize a hunt and the chase begins through the streets of the village until the final capture and the mock execution... while the crowd celebrates and dances. Unique and fantastic!

Since 1997, this small Gard village has been the setting for a film festival like no other. The program includes street events, exhibitions, photo competitions and, of course, film screenings on subjects closely related to the festival theme. Aficionados can have the joy or the emotion of rediscovering a race, a final, a gold medal, etc., as well as discovering testimonies, news reports and more. The Salon du Vin in Mende puts Occitanie wines in the spotlight for two days in June. You'll be able to meet some thirty local winegrowers and producers, who'll be offering sales and tastings, and, as tradition dictates, the red wine competition will reward the best vintages! Numerous workshops and events will punctuate the weekend, including a chocolate workshop, a cheese and wine workshop, a tasting of the winning wines and a festive meal with live music... In February of each year, 3 Catalan villages in the Pyrénées-Orientales region celebrate a very old carnival festival, which has now become a traditional festival: the Bear Festival. Since 2021 in November, the Metropole of Montpellier has been organizing Les Rencontres Vigneronnes to showcase the region's producers. In the past, this gourmet event was called "Les Estivales" and was held in Montpellier city center. O'Millésimes has now been relocated to the magnificent Domaine d'O, so you can enjoy a toast in the open air, but a little cooler! This gastronomic festival takes place over two weekends in the summer, and all lovers of local produce will gather for tastings and concerts, a night market teeming with tasty local dishes and wines, crafts, meetings, conferences and workshops.

This event invites you to discover all the specialities of the Canal du Midi region, from Carcassonne to Sète. During this gourmet event, you'll be able to taste not only the best wines, but also the finest products: honey, truffles, foie gras, melon, oysters, shellfish and more, among the hundreds of culinary specialities produced on the banks of the Canal. And don't forget that this is a solidarity event to benefit the replanting of the Canal du Midi with Voies Navigables de France.

Every year, the town of Port-La Nouvelle comes alive for its anniversary! Celebrated on 21 July - the date on which the commune was officially proclaimed in 1844 - it is punctuated by musical entertainment and an impressive firework display. While waiting for the first bursts of light around 10.30pm, the curious can count on the Trait d'union Périer band to provide the atmosphere from the Place Saint-Charles.

In the heart of the Cevennes National Park, the Domaine du Mas de la Bateau offers 28 kilometres of Nordic ski slopes drawn in alternative and skating, as well as 3 routes of snowshoes. If you know the landscapes of Mount Lozere and the Cassini peak in summer, discover them under their great white coat, you can only be seduced…

Calade and the town of Sommières organise this ^3rd Christmas Corrida in the heart of the medieval town. It includes 3 festive races on the Christmas theme in a historical setting and in a musical atmosphere (Batucada and Samba). The profits from these races will be used to finance extracurricular programmes.

Since 1994, the Festival International des Arts du Verre has brought together renowned exhibitors and artists in picturesque premises in the old village, with an emphasis on glassblowing techniques and contemporary creations. Exhibitions, initiations and demonstrations by internationally renowned master glassmakers enliven the heart of the village. All forms of glass art are represented, to introduce the general public to this special art in all its forms.

For years, the Family Piknik has been a local festival of electronic and underground music that is internationally renowned. On stage, the best DJs succeed one another at the turntables to make thousands of people dance on a life-size dancefloor . Young and old alike meet there and let off steam in rhythm for a moment of pure sharing and conviviality. House, Techno, Deep, Indie, Micro... There is for all the tastes! We have fun in the open air and we can take advantage of the shade of the trees to take a break.

The conservatory of music and drama named Manitas de Plata opened in 2020. This new building with a sober and refined design is over 6,400^m2. Built on the Quai des Moulins, it contains a 400-seat auditorium that hosts events specific to the conservatory, but also cultural events. There is also a restaurant area, rehearsal rooms and two large patios. Concerts and performances are filled with discoveries.

This 3-day show is undoubtedly the motorcycle event of the year in the Narbonne region. It was inaugurated for the first time in 2004. All the major brands and representatives of motorcycles, scooters, quads, accessories and services are present every year. Sporting events are also organised as well as demonstrations. This show is a must for any self-respecting two-wheeler enthusiast!

Every year, Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée organizes the Oursinade de Thau, a gourmet and popular festival in March. From the Place Léon Blum to the Rue Gambetta via the Rue de Strasbourg, some forty exhibitors come to present the region's terroir and delight the taste buds of shellfish, sea urchins and other seafood lovers. The atmosphere is convivial, punctuated by concerts, and other local culinary specialties are also honored such as the brasucade, the tielles and other ancestral or more contemporary recipes.

Since 2015, Sète Agglopôle Méditerranée has been organizing the Estivales de Thau, a gourmet agrotourism event. On this territory labeled "Vignobles & Découvertes", this event highlights the richness and know-how of local wine and shellfish producers. Every Thursday evening in July and August, people come to the heart of the villages to discover tasting stands, wines and local products. A great way to savor the treasures of the area in a festive and musical atmosphere.

This religious festival takes place on the first Sunday of the Votive Festival of Mauguio. During this event, the 15 year old girls take the ribbon for the first time. On Sunday morning, a mass is said in Provençal and offerings are offered on the altar. At the exit, the blessed bread is distributed to the faithful and to the passers-by. In the past, this ceremony signified the entry into the world of women. They could then wear the festive costume: the lace chapel and its muslin fichu, the long skirt and especially the velvet ribbon.

On June 15, 16 and 17, 2018, Gonzai and the producer "Voulez-vous Danser" took over the Cosmos square in La Grande-Motte, 300 metres from the beaches, for the first edition of the Pyramid Festival dedicated to synthetic music. On the program, the "cream" of French artists in the genre.

Each year, Palavas-les-Flots celebrates the sea during a week-long feria. This colorful and convivial festival pays tribute to the most famous child of the country: Georges Brassens, who wanted to be buried on the beach of Sète... The Cap Brassens association organizes this event from October 22, day of the birth of the composer-poet. It takes place in the whole Revolution district and starts from his birth house with a whole lot of concerts, meetings and other exhibitions. It is a week of celebrations, joys and discoveries. The last weekend of November promises to be a festive one for Souvignargues. Since 1988, this literary festival is very popular and its godmother is none other than the famous Fred Vargas. This year, the theme "Adventure is adventure" will bring together nearly 35 novelists (literature, youth and comics) of 10 different nationalities for meetings and signings around epics, travels and castles in Spain, quests and escapes, escapes and disappearances. A festival created to highlight the thousand-year-old link between the city and its vineyard and its famous Muscat de Frontignan. This event brings together professionals and amateurs in a very friendly atmosphere. For one day, the historic city center becomes a large market of typical tastes and flavors of the region.
