Every year, the village of Les Angles welcomes for 3 days in July, around a weekend, the famous Altriman, a triathlon festival in Capcir. In three days, nearly 1,200 people participated in no less than 7 triathlons. The sporting festivities begin on Friday and from then on there follow one event after another: altri'kids triathlon - for children -, lake triathlon, lake crossing, half Altriman, sprint triathlon in Capcir and Matemale triathlon (sprint). Among all his events, is the Altriman des Angles, an Ironman format triathlon. Due to the altitude, climate and altitude difference, this extreme triathlon, which takes place on Saturday, is considered to be the most demanding event in the world. The first start is given at 5:30 am and it will be necessary to swim 3.8 km in a lake at 18°C, then 196 km of bike with 5,135 meters of positive altitude difference, and finish with a marathon, positive altitude difference 715m... it certainly requires a very good physical condition.
