Located in the Causse de Gramat, near the great tourist sites of the Lot (Gouffre de Padirac, Rocamadour), Calès is an authentic village of less than 200 inhabitants. Its name appeared for the first time in 930, and the village knew a history made of plunders, religious wars, plague and phylloxera which destroyed all its vineyards. Nowadays, we stop here to enjoy its nature, still as abundant through the centuries: hiking trails, horseback riding, canoeing... It is sometimes possible, under certain conditions, to practice cave diving in the Saint-Sauveur chasm. Notice to the amateurs!
