Ennorders is located 8 kilometers south of Aubigny-sur-Nère. Situated on the threshold of Sologne, Ennorders stretches over 6379 ha, half land agricultural, half forests. Hunting is therefore one of the main activities of both residents and visitors. Roman remains were found in the territory of the commune: a Roman road crossed the village that linked Bourges to Orléans. In 1242, the village had a leprosy in 1404. The origin of his name was confirmed in 1523. In the fifteenth century, Ennorders had a hospital. The craft is located in the village around two nuclei: the village and a hamlet located 6 kilometers, says the Ee de la Pierre (the father of Alain-Fournier, teacher, taught at the school of this hamlet). He is still active in the Second World War. At the end of this war, a quarry of flint and sand extraction takes place and supplies the materials needed for concrete manufacturing and road construction. The heritage of this small municipality of 200 inhabitants is very rich. You can admire the church of Saint Martin, which dates from the end of the xiith century. The old lace and the former school of the Pierre de la Pierre complement these attractions. The communal territory also has a rich private architectural heritage such as the castle of Echeneau, the castle of La Motte on the banks of small Sauldre, the castle of the Brossette currently open in a guest room, the Grimousseaux farm at the exit of the village, quite typical of the buildings of the eighteenth century with its bricks and A few pyramid barns which, for some, have kept their original use.
