Civray is a municipality of the Department of Cher located 22 kilometers south of Quincy and 22 kilometers south-west of Bourges. The green lens of Berry is cultivated, a true institution in the region. The municipality of Civray is actually made up of five villages: Bois-Ratier, Civray village, Entrevins, the Well Chapel and the Coudray. It is part of the canton of Chârost and is served by the SNCF TER Center Châteauroux-Bourges line. In Roman times Civray was located on the Roman route that connected Bourges to Argenton-sur-Creuse. Among its main tourist attractions are the Saint-Pierre Church, which dates from the xiith and thirteenth centuries, with alterations made in the nineteenth century. The nef and the choir of this Romanesque building were restored in the fifteenth century, but the porch-porch dates from the xiith century. This church was once under the patronage of the abbey of Saint Sulpice de Bourges, and a small piece at the entrance of the church would have served as dormitorium (dormitory) to pilgrims en route to Santiago de Compostela. In 1661, the original bell was struck by lightning and was then replaced by the humble clotheton that melts well in the architectural ensemble. Before the Revolution, the Church also possessed three altars, from Notre-Dame, Saint Peter and Saint Eloi.In addition to the church, it is also possible to admire in Civray the barn of the Tits, which dates from the fifteenth century, a large building with a simple door, without wind, and ancient possession of the abbey Saint Sulpice. Some killer windows, southwestern and northeastern ends, as well as a door door, may be the xve. Although the building has walls with a thickness of more than one meter, several legs of strength of the frame rely on crows or columns banded stone. Finally, the chapel Notre-Dame de Sergny, inscribed in its entirety at the Historical Monuments since 2006, and the annex to Saint Peter's Church, offers its nef built in the xiith century and restored in the fifteenth century.
