Sérent is one of the oldest parishes in the diocese of Vannes known since the 9th century. Thus, you will be able to discover megalithic remains, tombs, burials and underground chambers, evidence of a very ancient human presence, followed by the Roman occupation. Sérent also houses six chapels, a charming church built between the 15th and 16th centuries, and the Maison du costume breton. As for the more recent heritage, you will no doubt have observed, since the 4-lane road linking Ploërmel and Vannes, a monument commemorating the Breton resistance. The Maquis Monument is a reminder of the very strong local commitment to freedom. As for nature, the town offers 3 hiking trails that you can take on on foot, mountain bike or horseback. There are also 55 km of marked trails adapted to mountain biking.... Finally, the peat bog site is one of the most important sites in the municipality!
