A charming little fishing village with its brightly coloured houses, Locmiquélic is located opposite Île Saint-Michel in the bay of Lorient. With the extension of the port of Sainte-Catherine, this village with a strong maritime tradition is gradually being dedicated to pleasure boating. We also discover the Pen-Mané ornithological reserve, a vast wilderness and a wonderful place to observe (especially from March to August) grey herons, egrets, harriers and reeds, stilts... The port of Sainte-Catherine, which was once essentially oriented towards fishing, is now a haven of peace for many pleasure boats. And for lovers of shellfish, know that every year in mid-August, the inhabitants celebrate the festival of langoustines... We're already talking about it!
