Located 13 km from Guerlédan and 12 km from Pontivy, Cléguérec is a rural commune whose very ancient origins are linked to Saint Guérec, a monk of his state. It contains a good number of houses of character, manors, fortified farms, chapels and fountains. You can even discover the Statue of Liberty! Located on the Place de Pobéguin, it was built eleven years before the one in New York and is still the pride of Cléguérec, as it is one of the few still standing. Cléguérec also has a considerable number of rocky ridges that intensify the rugged character of the territory, which is conducive to nature and justifies the label of "Green Resort". One can enjoy the Pontoir lake, but also the Poulmain ponds and discover dolmens, bread ovens, menhirs... The other particularity of Cléguérec is its pear cider: the perry, which was born in the village. Finally, it is in the village of Keranroué, 2 km from Cléguérec, that a meteorite fell on May 22, 1869, called the "Kernouve meteorite", whose fragments are exhibited in several museums (including the National Museum of Natural History in Paris).
