In the heart of Brittany, at the crossroads of major roads, this town of barely 10,000 inhabitants, with its strong agri-food and industrial fabric, isn't much of a tourist attraction. But its small center is pleasant and has a few good addresses. The forest to the north-east offers some lovely walks. Between the 17th and 19th centuries, the Loudéac region was the cradle of linen production, specializing in weaving. Discover this flourishing past at the Maison des toiles in Saint-Thélo and the Atelier musée du tissage in Uzel. These 2 villages are home to superb linen merchants' residences, testimony to the golden age of linen.
