This town borders the artificial lake of the same name, the largest in Brittany. Completed in 1930, the hydroelectric dam of Guerlédan caused the swallowing of 17 locks of the canal from Nantes to Brest and a break in the river traffic between the two cities. Today, this marvellous stretch of water is a paradise for green tourism enthusiasts, who come to practice water sports or to bask in one of its equipped creeks. Swimming, fishing, water skiing, stand up paddle, kayaking or hiking, horse riding and mountain biking... Many activities are possible. A real seaside resort in the countryside.
