Does this name sound familiar to you? Poultry from Janzé is probably the reason! This breed originating from the commune was indeed strongly commercialized in the 19th century before disappearing and being reborn recently thanks to the ecomuseum of the country of Rennes. Janzé is also a territory that has been occupied since the Neolithic period, as evidenced by the purple schist menhir of La Pierre des Fées, also known as the menhir of Belle-Vue. The castle of La Jaroussaye (15th century) and that of La Tullaye (13th century) are also part of the heritage to discover. In spring, the city comes alive with the Arts2Rues festival which brings together many artists.
