Guipry-Messac was born in 2016 from the merger of the communes of Guipry and Messac, located on the banks of the Vilaine and linked by a bridge. You will discover some treasures such as the temple of Coëfferie, former chapel of the Templars built in 1217, the castle of Pommerais (16th-17th centuries) and the menhirs of Grées. Among the must-sees, there is also the old port of the 11th century and its old flour mill, formerly a major salt trade center, and the pleasant marina. For a more bucolic walk, go to the towpath and the green way. You can also rent a bicycle at the Maison du Tourisme
