Butre is a small fishing village at the mouth of a river that flows into the Gulf of Guinea at a small bay. While a visit to the village is an experience in itself, it's the eco-lodge-style resorts along the beach that are most popular. We highly recommend a visit to Fanta's Folly, run by Philippe and his wife Fanta, if only for the food! The Green Zion Garden is also a good place to stay and/or eat. It's worth noting that Busua can be reached on an hour's walk through the forest (bring your own guide).
