Travel Guide Aiguafreda

Cradle of mountain sports, west of Montseny, Aiguafreda dominates the upper Congost valley. On the border of Osona, between the Montseny and the cliffs of Bertí, almost 80% of its mountainous territory is covered with oak and pine forests. A privileged location that attracts hikers and cyclists. In the valleys of Martinet and Avencó, the water of the rivers has also favoured the appearance of riverside vegetation (nice walks on the programme!). Following the GR-2 along the foothills of the Montseny from Aiguafreda, you will walk in the footsteps of the first inhabitants of the area, discovering the dolmens of the Serra de l'Arca. Another option is to take the GR-5, which takes you to the village of Montseny through the sumptuous landscapes of the Pla de la Calma.
