The anthropomorphic statue-menhir of Ca l'Estrada (3500-2500 B.C.), which is currently kept in the Granollers Museum, was discovered in the territory of Canovelles and bears witness to the settlement of the town from the Neolithic period. Canovelles also preserves a small medieval nucleus around the church of Sant Fèlix, a precious example of the early Catalan Romanesque period. Its extensive Sunday market is, together with that of Granollers, one of the most important in Catalonia! In terms of nature, on the banks of the River Congost, the immediate surroundings of the village offer authentic rural landscapes full of old Catalan farmhouses. In the car park near the Jacint Verdaguer school, you will find a sign with the various paths to follow from the village, including the torrent d'en Fangues walk.
