Located almost halfway between Houma and Morgan City, Gibson is an unincorporated community in Terrebonne Parish with a population of less than 2,000. There are several campgrounds in the vicinity, especially for RVs, which are called RVs here. Although there are not many points of interest in Gibson, some are worth a visit. This is the case of Black Bayou Airboat Swamp Tours, which proposes to meet the local fauna and flora (alligator farm also on the site), or Wildlife Gardens, which offers lodging in cabins in the heart of a bayou populated by charming animals.
