Calafell, which means "little castle" in Catalan, is a charming town in the Baix Penedès county, located on the sea front and home to some 25,000 inhabitants. It offers a wide range of activities for the whole family: water sports, Nordic walking, children's club, golf (La Graiera)... But Calafell also has a rich and ancient history: an Iberian citadel (experimental archaeology), a medieval castle and the house-museum of the poet Carlos Barral. Don't leave the city without trying thearrossejat, but also the Xató. More information at the tourist office (C/ Sant Pere, 29) and at visit.calafell.cat -
