IBERIAN CITADEL OF CALAFELL

The Iberian citadel of Calafell is special in that it does not just offer the visitor simple remains. In fact, after more than 20 years of excavations and comparative studies, the town has been reconstructed following the principles of experimental archaeology: walls, streets and houses have been completely recreated using materials and techniques supposedly from the Iberian period. The result is astonishing and the visit is as amusing as it is instructive.
