536 inhabitants. To the west of the Geopark, Rajadell is a pretty village in the Bages, nestled between hills covered with pine forests and oak groves, in the depths of which flows the Riera de Rajadell. Its history goes back to the time of the Iberians and then the Romans, and was the scene of certain episodes of the Reconquista, something that can be gauged by visiting the historical legacies scattered throughout the municipality, such as the Romanesque villa of San Amanç de Viladés (accessible by car, free visit), the church of Sant Iscle i Santa Victòria, the castle of Rajadell and the picturesque old centre that surrounds it. The village derives its livelihood from agricultural activities whose typical products and singular characteristics continue to be popular today, from Monistrolet nuts with olive oil from Molino del Aceite, not to mention the young and balanced wines of Celler El Molí (Collbaix). The Rajadell River, embedded and winding, is the main protagonist of these lands. Fed by numerous torrents, it unfolds a string of meanders that sacred the beauty of these landscapes.
