Mashabei Sadeh is a kibbutz founded in 1947. Originally named Mashadei, he received his second name after the death of the founder and the first chief of Palmach, Yitzak Sadeh, who died in 1952. In addition to its nearby hot springs, moshav is known for its fish farming, including shrimp and barramundis, an Australian fish with a particularly goûteuse flesh.
