With a population of over 250, it is located in the extreme north-east of the comarca, in the western part of the Gavarres coastal mountain range. Apart from the picturesque, rural village of Sant Martí itself, which boasts a number of good addresses, the area's main attraction is undoubtedly the Sanctuary of the Angels, where Salvador Dalí and Gala were married in August 1958. At 484 meters above sea level, this sacred site offers an exceptional 360° panorama of the entire region, and is a perfect stopping-off point for hikers and cyclists. There's also a well-equipped astronomical observatory.
