Gonnosfanadiga rises on the eastern slope of Monte Linas, which includes the mountains of Linas, Marganai, Oridda and Monti Mannu. The origins of the village date back to about 7000 years ago, when the first Neolithic men settled in Sardinia. The village has some very beautiful churches: Santa Barbara, Sant'Elia, Sant'Efisio, the Sacro Cuore and the more recent church dedicated to the Virgin Mary of Lourdes. It is very pleasant to walk around the old town where you can also taste typical dishes of the campidanese cuisine. In autumn, the bread and olive festivals allow you to taste the local products.
