This is the location of a former village, whose remains remind the golden age of cocoa, coffee and oranges. Canoe construction was also an important source of revenue for the region. In 1955, its inhabitants migrated downstream of the Rio Negro and founded the present Novo Airão. Nowadays, vegetation has taken over, but some ruins of ancient mansions, cacaotiers and lemon keep its memory alive.
