Don't expect to find a small suburb: Campinas, which lies north of São Paulo at 90 km (2 hours car because the motorway is all the time engorgée), has no fewer than 1,1 million inhabitants, or half of the population of Walls Paris! It has had an initial boom with the operation of sugar cane plantations in the region, but above all through the influx of coffee from coffee-producing fazendas in the th century. Today, it is in the image of the region: highly populated, highly urbanised and industrial, because it was mainly built in the boom boom of the 1940 s, verticality, and a ciel forest shaped its center, to the American, as in the major Brazilian metropolises. It will give the people of Europe a sigh of jubilation that do not have much to do. Prefer to land directly in São Paulo if you do not plan to visit the northern region of the state.
