Modigliana, 50 km southwest of Forlì, is a small ancient village located in the Tramazzo valley. It has preserved some interesting testimonies of its past, such as the Roccaccia, the ancient fortress of the Counts Guidi, the powerful lords of the town until 1377, but also the elegant 18th century Ponte della Signora and the ancient village with the Piazza del Pretorio. Modigliana is also the birthplace of the 19th century painter Silvestro Lega. However, the main reason for visiting Modigliana is the beauty and softness of the surrounding hills. The many farmhouses in the area guarantee a peaceful and relaxing stay in nature.
