Located also in Badajoz province, this small village of almost 850 inhabitants was reconquered by Ferdinand III, during its resumption of the territories from Feria to Llerena, and entrusted to the order of Santiago. He will experience his most prosperous period in the sixteenth century, with the departure and return of some children from the country of the Americas. Today, the visit of this village allows to continue the discovery of monuments left by the military order of Santiago, but it comes mainly to admire the retable of the Divino Pastor, one of the most important ensembles of Extremadura, mixing late Gothic and beginning of the Renaissance. It will also benefit from its new Plaza de Toros, inaugurated in 2015.
