16 km south of Simms. Every year in May or June, during the Labor Day long weekend, the regatta is held for locally built sloops from all the islands. It is the largest annual event on Long Island and one of the largest regattas in the Out Islands, second only to Exuma. There are many festivities and participants come from all over the Bahamas, although many of the boats that participate in the regatta are built here in the mangroves. Local food, family games and of course Rake n' Scrape concerts are on the agenda. Reservations recommended.
