Former city, after distinguishing itself in grain trade and kinds industry, Léau did not come up against wars of religion. Today, in the middle of the fields and near the far west of the Brabant (we are barely 7 km from Saint-Trond, in Limburg and one hundred of Leuven), a village with silent lanes, as quarterly by its disproportionate Grand place. Léau has a few sumptuous buildings, but nothing suggests that eight convents and three ramparts, under which all the armies défilèrent, were built in this prosperous city.
