Koestlach has a very large heritage as evidenced by the Romanesque church of Saint-Léger-la-Cure, the Notre-Dame-des-Trois-Chênes chapel.... The origin of the name of this village can be found in the legend according to which the servants of the castle cried out at the time of its disappearance in the swamp "Do, isch's koestli", "Here it is pleasant". The ascent of the Kastelberg, at an altitude of 649 metres, promises you a pleasant walk in the forest and an exceptional panorama on arrival. Several skeletons and bronze objects found at the top during excavations and the public bath whose remains are still visible at the entrance to the village testify to the very old occupation of the site, which is also praised by dowsers.
