In the heart of the Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse region, the commune of Mettet has a population of around 13,000. Rural and agricultural, the small villages that make up the entity are scattered across the fields. Surrounded by them, the Jules Tacheny motor racing circuit gives Mettet the opportunity to reach far beyond its borders. Château de Thozée belonged to the painter and draughtsman Félicien Rops.
