Sainte-Sabine is a charming village of 172 inhabitants near Pouilly-en-Auxois, some 30 km from Beaune and 50 km from Dijon. Its name derives from the relics of the eponymous saint, which were kept here from the 12th century onwards. Today, the legend of the saint who gave her name to the village is still intact. She is honored twice a year, on the feast of the Translation of the relics and on the feast of Saint Sabine on August 29. Don't miss this bucolic village, with its16th-century church, the reliquary of Saint Sabine, a breathtaking view of Châteauneuf-en-Auxois and the Chazilly reservoir, a famous fishing spot.
