In this village, north of Oaxaca, is the Centro de Las Artes San Agustín, a cultural centre and exhibitions created on the initiative of the Oaxaqueño painter Francisco Toledo. The cultural centre is housed in a former textile plant and offers, in addition to temporary exhibitions, photo and weaving courses, as well as film projections (more information: www.casanagustin.org.mx). Next to the cultural centre, you will also find the interesting Taller Arte Papel Oaxaca, a workshop dedicated to artisanal manufacturing of paper.
