Izaba(Isaba in Castilian) is a small village of 400 inhabitants in the Roncal valley, crossed by the River Esca, the starting point for the Belagua valley, where cross-country ski enthusiasts will find 25 kilometers of trails, divided into five circuits: within the municipality is the Mesa de los Tres Reyes, the highest point in Navarre (2,421 meters) so named for its location at the confluence of the ancient kingdoms of Navarre, France and Aragon. Also worth a visit is the fortified church of San Cipriano, built of ashlar in the 15th century and housing a large plateresque altarpiece carved in 1537 and an organ dating from 1751.
