This is a small post-Classical Maya site located in the village of the same name, less than 2 kilometers south of the center of del Remate. It lies close to del Cruce, at the junction of the CA13 and the road to Tikal. While Ixlú is not a must-see stop, it is well worth a visit for travellers who have time to spend a few days in the area. More than 150 structures have reportedly been discovered here. There are also two pelota courts, built during the Late Classic period, and a complex of twin pyramids. The site is open daily from 8am to 4pm. Admission: 10 Q.
