Emboodhu Finolhu stretches out gently in the largest lagoon in the Maldives, 700m long and only 30m wide. The island is located in the north of the South Malé Atoll and shares the same lagoon as Crossroads, but 7 kilometres away. The artificial islands developed in the lagoon are getting dangerously close and Emboodhu Fiolhu is gradually losing its sense of solitude and isolation. The island is occupied by the Indian group Taj, which runs its second Maldivian resort here. The island is therefore mainly visited by an Indian clientele, young couples on their honeymoon, as well as a British clientele familiar with the luxury brand
