This small island of 200 x 150 metres can be spotted from afar thanks to its tall telecommunications antenna which rises above the thick vegetation that lines the island. The east side of Fihalhohi includes the long jetty for mooring boats, as well as large wooden platforms to save some space for deck chairs. These are rather unsightly, but quickly forgotten from the northern beach which gently descends to a beautiful coral reef. The island is occupied by the Fihalhohi Island Resort which is well integrated into the environment and respects the Maldivian style where wood and palm reign supreme.
