The shape of this island is very special. It is a long sand bench 660 m long and 168 m wide. There is a beautiful beach and little vegetation. For the sake of a seat economy, bungalows of the Fun Island Resort released from Land in 1988 were constructed in a row of onions per block of 3 or 4, for a total of 100, half directed to the east (ocean side), the other half to the west (view on the islands). Proximity means there is a lack of privacy and that we can feel at home. The hotel had been hit by the tsunami in 2004 and remained closed for renovation until 2010. The island is at the heart of a huge lagoon conducive to water sports. However, who says beautiful lagoon, says little snorkeling and this is confirmed here. The only place is at the tip of the jetty. If you don't, you'll have to go through a sacred finish. On one side of the island you can see the Olhuveli Beach Resort & Spa. On the other side, there is a virgin island, but be careful: the currents are strong between the two islands and it is strongly discouraged to go into the swim, and to favour a kayak for example. The bungalows, all identical, remain functional constructions without any charm but offer many facilities (telephone, air conditioning, minibar…). Interiors are less ugly than before the tsunami, but remain dull and kitsch, with no relation to the Maldivian style. A restaurant serves small buffets of excellent quality but not necessarily very varied and two bars. If you are on a honeymoon, you will still be offered a bottle of champagne and a fruit basket; for birthdays, a cake and a bottle of wine. The hotel generally has improved since its re-opening. He is frequented by many Russians and Italians, who come mainly diving and relax. It will be suitable for small scholarships that wish to offer paradise, but in all modesty, just for the beach, coconut and the blue of the lagoon.
