The capital - which is also the island's main port - is not very local. Most of the houses are new, and the town is of little interest to visitors. Nevertheless, it's a convenient base for accessing the nearby beaches and the island's various attractions. The town center can be visited for a short stroll along the quays at the end of the day, before enjoying a drink and dinner in town.
