Port Mouton (pronounced "Port Ma-toon") is a small fishing village located along Highway 103, approximately 150 km southwest of Halifax. It is here - or rather, at Port Joli, which is a stone's throw away - that the waterfront portion of Kejimkujik National Park is accessed, the other portion of the park being inland to the north (access via Highway 8 from Liverpool). In addition to great access to the sea (mention Carters Beach), the area is home to several other natural sites, such as Summerville Beach and Thomas Raddall Provincial Parks. To fully enjoy the area, a stay at The Quarterdeck resort is highly recommended.
