Lowell is located 30 miles north of Boston, not far from the New Hampshire border. If you're on a tour in New England and you pass near this city of nearly 110,000 people, the fourth largest in the state, stop by. It is also easily accessible by train from Boston (using the MBTA Lowell Line), so it's easy to make the round trip within a day. Because Lowell played an important role in the industrial revolution, some of its sites are protected and are part of the Lowell National Historical Park. Covering an area of 57 hectares, this is the main attraction of the town.
